A large-scale, early model of the Apollo lunar module was sold this week (May 27, 2022) for $21,510 through a General Services Administration (GSA) government surplus auction. The model was built by Langley Research Center and was excessed by Kennedy Space Center.
Lunar Module model from the Melbourne Airport. Crate dimensions are approximately 8 feet, 0.5 inches in length, width, and height. Model is approximately 6 feet, 0.5 inches long and wide. About 6 feet, 0.5 inches to 7 feet tall. The weight of the crate and model in total is approximately 1,500-1,600 lbs.

There is minor surface damage and visible irregularities that will need fixed, but there is nothing that detrimentally affects the integrity of the model.

All times are CT (US)
