A while back, a friend of mine gave me the Revell Apollo/Saturn V 1/96 kit, #8605. I just now started building it and discovered that there are parts missing. It looks like they gave me two sets of first stage parts instead of many of the second stage parts. So, I'm missing these parts:
  • 2-7: Second Stage Thrust Structure
  • 2-12: Tank Bulkhead
  • 2-14: Interstage Adapter
I know it's a long shot, but would anyone know where I could get these parts? I'd be willing to swap out the extra first stage parts I have duplicates of. Scratch-building them may be outside of my area of expertise. Thanks in advance. — Tom

Your best bet might be to ask on the Space Modelers Group. Many Saturn V modelers hang out there, so someone may have the parts you need.

I may have what your looking for. Last week I sold a Revell 1/96 Saturn V on eBay. It was the older kit Revell H1843:1200. Somebody started building the model and gave up at pg2. The successful bidder only wanted a small selection of the parts and I have shipped those to him.

Here is what is left over. Let me know which if any of these parts you can use. Any parts you can't use, then anyone else can have the rest. You have first dibs.

They are not mine to give away, but a small reasonable donation to a widow's kid's education fund and shipping costs would make everyone happy.

I currently have an intact kit on eBay right now, and I also have a newer Revell 1/96 Saturn V 04805 intact kit available for sale.

Great! It looks like you have the pieces I need. I am willing to make a reasonable donation and pay shipping costs.

I'll email you with further information on the parts I need. Thanks for the quick response.

Thanks to Skythings, I now have all the parts I need to build the Saturn V. I also got Space Model Systems' decal set and Realspace CSM. Now I just gotta build it!

I still have quite a few parts remaining from that scavenged kit if anybody else requires any parts. Let me know what you need and I will see if it's there. Shipping is pretty expensive even for a small box.

I also have the full intact kit still in the box and sealed in the bags listed on eBay right now.
