Does anyone dabble in model rockets that fly? I am specifically talking about scale/real life models of real spacecraft.

I have several scale models of my own, and am wondering if anyone knows of a good manufacturer/distributor to get such model rockets. (More obscure models, like the early Saturns.)

Check out the first photo in Tom Komorowski's space models and dioramas. Apogee makes some great 1/70th scale flying models.

Be aware of this shop on Shapeways (by Kevin Cespedes), which has a number of "real space" parts specifically for flying rockets (Gemini, Redstone, Agena...). I have ordered some just for use in static models, and they are nice.

I have four vendors that sell my models. Visit realspacerockets.com for more info.

I make Atlas V, Delta II and Delta IV flying and display models. Soon, I'll be adding flying versions of the Boeing CST-100/Atlas V and the Orion EFT-1 Delta IV Heavy. The Little Joe I and Little Joe II will be the next new models coming. — Carl
