The Bandai space shuttle Endeavour is my favorite model of the vehicle. I bought one on the secondary market (from the Buy, Sell, Trade forum right here on cS), having made the error of sitting out of the original offer. Remember that their primary target market is Japan. Endeavour was the shuttle they chose to reproduce because it was the orbiter that carried the first Japanese payload specialist, Mamoru Mohri. So I would look for another Japanese connection to sell the idea. Maybe it is Discovery configured for its role in launching the Kibo pressurized module, or, if the desire is to have Columbia, maybe it is STS-65, which included Chiaki Mukai, the first Japanese woman in space. |

Robert, sorry I haven't responded in a more timelier matter, but work has had me traveling a lot these past few months. Thanks for the advice, I will add that to the petition and make it more viable proposition for Bandai to consider. It would definitely be nice if they were keen on the idea and we'd hear that Bandai would have either of these ideas in the works. Wishful thinking anyway. | |
