New Ware Releases Delta 1900 and Japanese N-2 to Expand its series of Delta rockets

New Ware announces the release of two more Delta rockets in 1/144th scale. The Delta series of rockets has been the backbone of the space program and has launched more satellites into orbit than any other rocket.

The Delta 1900 rocket is especially attractive with its nine strap-on boosters surrounding the first stage. Each strap-on is individually cast. The rocket made eight flights all of which were successful beginning in 1972. New Ware provides decals for two launchers. Delta 1913 carried Explorer 47, an Interplanetary Monitoring Platform (IMP) which investigated the earth’s magnetosphere. Delta 1914 bears a Canadian maple leaf flag on its second stage since it launched Anik I, Canada’s first commercial telecommunications satellite into orbit. The Japanese N-2 is Japan’s satellite launcher. It was developed under license from the American Delta launcher. New Ware’s N-2 is the first model of this rocket in any scale. The markings depict the launch of Kiku 3, an engineering test satellite designed to test the greater capabilities of the N-2 which was launched on February 11, 1981.

The latest two rockets are being added to New Ware’s existing line of 10 Thor rockets. Both kits contain 27 resin parts, over 20 photoetched parts and about 20 decals. They each retail for $36. Both new rocket models are easy to assemble and make ideal week-end projects. The rockets are so appealing that many modelers will assemble several of the rockets at once so that a family of their favorite launchers can be created for an impressive display.

New Ware is one of the major manufacturers of spacecraft and space launcher models. It also manufacturers an extensive line of photoetched and resin accessories for the most popular space models by injection molded manufacturers, as well as accessories for aerospace related models.

The Delta 1900 And the Japanese H-2 rockets are available by ordering directly from New Ware at www.mus.cz/~ales/newware and through its distributors, including Victory Models at www.victorymodels.com
