Great job!

In 1962 John Glenn had a Heuer stopwatch, not a TAG-Heuer. TAG was created in 1977, bought Heuer in 1985 from Piaget who acquired Heuer in 1982.

Comments welcomed!

It also looks like Evans third wristwatch was a personal 145.022 Speedmaster... corrections made!

I have completed the listing for the Skylab space station missions:

Note each of the Skylab 4 rookies took an extra personal wristwatch besides their NASA-issued Omega Speedmaster chronograph.

    1973 Skylab 2

  • Pete Conrad, Joseph Kerwin, Paul Weitz L= Speedmaster

    1973 Skylab 3

  • Alan Bean L= Speedmaster
  • Owen Garriott L= Speedmaster
    PPK contained Seiko wristwatches
  • Jack Lousma L= Speedmaster (L underneath spacesuit 2nd Speedmaster)

    1973 Skylab 4

  • Gerald Carr L= Speedmaster (2nd watch in PPK = Movado Datron chronograph)
  • Edward Gibson L= Speedmaster (L underneath spacesuit 2nd Speedmaster – Mk II?)
  • William Pogue L= Speedmaster and L underneath spacesuit Seiko 6139-6005 first automatic chronograph in space

I think both Lovell and Cernan wore GMT masters on Apollo.

Nope, Rolex GMT-master were only worn on Apollo 13, 14 and 17 as shown in the original listing. And on X-15 flights 188 and 190 by William "Pete" Knight in October 1967.

Philip, the vintage Movado Datron watches I have looked at are automatics, so would this new find not result in a "tie" with the Pogue Seiko claim?

I also recently found that Alan Bean retained a flown watch from his Skylab mission, but the make and model is unknown.

Seiko Pogue and Movado Carr at equal height, that's correct.

Skylab was an interesting time for wristwatches, indeed I know about the Skylab 3 rumours of Alan Bean watch (who wore his Gold Apollo tribute Speedmaster during training) and Owen Garriott taking up three (?) extra Seiko wristwatches.

Lovell was on Apollo 13 and Cernan on Apollo 17.

Both Lovell and Cernan were seen wearing Rolex GMT-master during Apollo training but there's no evidence either of them took a Rolex up in space.

There's only proof for Swigert on Apollo 13 and for Mitchell and Roosa on Apollo 14. Ron Evans' Rolex GMT-master stayed in his PPK aboard LM Challenger and returned to Earth on CSM America during Apollo 17.

Has the Rolex Daytona ever flown in space? Since Daytona is just south of Cape Canaveral you'd think it would've been a natural.

Of course, a Rolex Daytona 6263 was flown on the wrist of astronaut Michael McCulley on shuttle Atlantis mission STS-34 in October 1989.

It isn't surprising that many of the early astronauts owned, trained with and occasionally flew with the Rolex GMT Pepsi. In the early 1960's US military PXs located in Europa and Asia often stocked the Pepsi and it sold for the relatively low price of about 120 dollars US.

Now a new Pepsi will set you back about 20,000 dollars. Good Luck!
