Here the famous picture of Alan Shepard in Mercury pressure suit, with NASA logo on helmet. Put the logo on helmet was a initiative of Shepard or was briefly considered this option by Goodrich or NASA?

Perhaps a NASA decision to carry on a logo placement tradition from NACA (see first couple of helmets)?
