Does anyone have information on the Apollo Telescope Mount, in particular the details on its deployment method and perhaps know of some photos showing details of its design and construction?

No photos, but some pretty extensive verbiage and many diagrams can be found in this archival NASA document.

You might try the David Weeks drawings for some of that information.

Thanks for your replies. The Skylab Apollo Telescope Mount document gives a reasonable description.

I paid the NASM Udvar Hazy museum a visit last month and noticed the Apollo Telescope Mount under restoration in the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hanger. I could not get a good view to get some detailed photos due to the location and positioning suspended from a gantry at this time.

I am trying to work out the sequence used from launch through deployment of the telescope and what mechanisms were utilized to do this.

Actually, it was simple, just some latches and a winch.

All times are CT (US)
