So, I've wound up with a Land's End shirt worn by David Hilmers during the flight of STS-42. It's red, with "Dave" embroidered on one line on the left chest area, with "Discovery" on the next line and "IML-1" on the third and final line.

I've checked with Ed Hengeveld, and he doesn't have an image of David in the shirt. Would someone else out there in cS-land happen to have some kind of photograph showing him on orbit wearing the shirt? I know, I know, I know... if Ed doesn't have it, it's going to be a long shot!

Nope. It's a solid red, short-sleeved shirt. As clothes go, it's fairly plain ... except for the fact that it has been worn in space!

It looks like each crew member had a similar red polo. Here's Thagard, Oswald and Merbold. Unfortunately, NASA's image archive doesn't include a similar shot for Hilmers.

The shot of Oswald pretty much shows the design of the shirt that I have, right down to the light-colored buttons. One difference, Oswald's does not appear to include his name. Hmm... any other options?
