During the STS-41C mission, spacewalker James "Ox" van Hoften used the "module service tool" (MST) during the repair of the Solar Maximum ("Solar Max") Mission Satellite (SMMS).

Is anyone reading familiar with the design of this tool and its use in orbit? Are there details about how well it performed for the task at hand, replacing the satellite's faulty control system module?

Outside of contacting van Hoften directly, any other suggestions?

I will look in my Fairchild files. I believe it is a torque-less wrench.

All times are CT (US)
