Has anyone got any info on the Mercury dimes that went down with Liberty Bell 7 and were recovered by Mr. Newport? |

Why don't you ask him. He is a real nice guy and usually responds to good questions if he is not out working somewhere. |

I held some of them in my hand, they were still in the plastic storage bags though, a week ago today. I also held Gus's survival knife, the pencil he used to during the flight of LB7, his survival kit, and many, many other artifacts from the Liberty Bell 7.It was a great day at the Cosmosphere but I plan on waiting until Craig posts his report on that day before I mention any more. Like holding the flown Apollo 8 TLI check list and trying to lift the door of the Apollo 13 Command Module. |
