Salizhan Sharipov brought from ISS to earth two letters which in my opinion are the ultimate commemoratives for Apollo 12 anniversary celebrated on Nov 19, 2004. As you see on the attached pictures, they were sent with a part slice of lunar meteorite DHO 287 to ISS-10 crew. This meteorite is similar to mare basalts brought to earth by Apollo 12 astronauts. Scott Cornish from Houston, Texas posted my letters on the day of the 35th anniversary of Apollo 12 moon landing. The letters were delivered to Star City and sent to ISS with Progress M-52. On the letter you see stamps from ISS. Unfortunately the envelope shown was opened roughly.I like to share this outstanding letter from space with my fellow CollectSpace members. All my best, Walter [This message has been edited by collectSPACE Admin (edited September 25, 2005).] | |
