Danbury Mint release
Apollo 11 Moon Landing 50th Anniversary Coin Collection

To commemorate the Apollo 11 moon landing and America's exploration of space, the U.S. Mint has issued several historic regular-issue coins – and this exceptional sculpture is accompanied by a complete set of these coins. Coins included in this collection are: the Eisenhower dollar, the Bicentennial Eisenhower dollar, Susan B. Anthony dollar, the 1969 Kennedy half-dollar and statehood quarters from Ohio and Florida.

The complete collection of coins – along with an exclusive privately minted medallion commemorating the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 – is presented around the base of the custom-crafted sculpture of Armstrong and Aldrin planting the American flag on the moon's surface. The sculpture is crafted of cold-cast porcelain and is masterfully sculpted and painted to achieve a dramatic display worthy of this historic set of coins.

Each out-of-issue U.S. coin is beautifully preserved in uncirculated condition and is protectively encapsulated in a removable wooden panel that allows you to safely examine both sides of the legendary design without fear of damage from dust, dirt and fingerprints. Together, the coins and the sculpture make a collection of unprecedented importance, beauty and value.
