Any idea when they will come out with Apollo 15? Kind of weird that they didn't go in order of missions.

Well I guess not quite yet as the auction is a pre-order? Medals not available until the end of Sept.

I ordered the SCA and Enterprise coins a few weeks ago and while I was on the phone with the lady at Dryden she mentioned that Apollo 15 was the next coin they were expecting.

I asked WINCO about the Apollo 15, and they told me:
We've been trying to make some die improvements on AP15 for several months now, however there has been many projects with more urgent deadlines that have taken over. Based on this current reality, we cannot offer an ETA for it.
So we wait... it will come someday!

I received word today that the Apollo 15 medallion will be available sometime next week. Anyone know if Winco plans on doing these for Apollo 7-10?

I received my Apollo 15 medallion from Dryden gift shop today... really nice!

Great souvenir of the first launch I've witnessed from KSC.

Will details of which Apollo flight(s) carried the material for these medals ever be released? Thank you.

The only detail that NASA is sharing about the metal is that it was from a command module. Otherwise, as mentioned earlier in the thread, the specific mission and component(s) are not being disclosed.

So the flown metal is not from each specific flight, the flown metal in each mission coin, are all from one unknown flight?

The inscription on every medal is the same, regardless the mission:
This medallion contains metal flown to the moon on Apollo missions.
So I think it's safe to assume that the metal in each medal is not from the specific mission it commemorates (otherwise it would say that on the inscription) but I wouldn't assume the metal is all from one mission, as the inscription specifies "missions."

I still had not collected a full set of the Apollo Winco medallions and remember Robert talking to Winco at one time about this but do not see any threads on such since. I wanted to get a complete set and wondered if There ever was or will be an option for collectSPACE members to buy a set directly from Winco.

I noticed The Space Store had sets but they are sold out.

Editor's note: Threads merged.

I've discussed with Winco about possibly offering the full set of medals as part of a future promotion, but at this time do not know when or if that may be.

There is a complete set on eBay (231044029469). Starting price appears to be $10 a coin.

Winco has not announced additional medals in the series. If and when they do, we'll share the news here.

The Space Store offers a Winco set of eight medallions: Apollo 11 through Apollo 17 and the NASA 40th Anniversary one.
