Apollo 14, launched January 31, 1971, was the third manned lunar landing mission and marked the first lunar golf shot. Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell lived on the Moon for 33 hours and 30 minutes (9 hours and 25 minutes of which were outside the Lunar Module Antares) while Stuart Roosa orbited the Moon inside the Command Module Kitty Hawk.

The attached is a swatch of a beta cloth from a Lunar Module Transfer Bag flown on Apollo 14. A segment of material from this bag (from which this swatch was cut) was presented by Shepard to the Chief of the Flight Crew Operations Branch, Larry Thompson.
