Manley "Sonny" Carter

Mission(s): STS-33   Date signed: January 6, 1990
Comment: On April 5, 1991, Carter died in a commuter
plane crash near New Brunswick, Georgia.
At the time of his death, Carter was training
to fly on STS-42.
