Aldrin, Jr. Michael Collins Launch: July 16, 1969   Landing: July 24, 1969   Duration: 8 Days, 3 hours 22 hrs on the Moon   Comment: First manned lunar landing This pink plastic bag was used to hermetically seal small nylon United States flags that were flown on Columbia for the purpose of later presentation to dignitaries and NASA employees. It was packed inside the command module as part of the Apollo 11 Official Flight Kit. A spacecraft parts tag indicates that the flags were prepared in January 1969.
