Can anyone recommend a good hardback textbook on the entire Cassini-Huygens mission, including the science done up to mission-end in 2017? I'm not looking for a "coffee-table" book, but I would prefer a reasonably large format (around 11 inches high) with a good presentation of key representative images, up to and including the final orbits. The book doesn't need to be highly technical, but should cover the key scientific findings comprehensively. Does such an exotic animal exist (yet)? |

I too am curious about a good survey/summary book about the Cassini mission. And the Galileo mission to Jupiter too. |

On Galileo, you could try "Jupiter Odyssey" by David Harland (Springer Praxis) and "The Worlds of Galileo" by Michael Hanlon. Both are detailed and have numerous photos (more reference books than coffee table books) although both were published shortly before the end of Galileo's mission. |

On the Titan part of the mission and published in 2020, "Saturn's Moon Titan: From 4.5 Billion Years Ago to the Present" (Haynes Owners Workshop Manual) by Dr. Ralph Lorenz. |

Yes, I am aware of that, but it doesn't cover Cassini's observations of Saturn and the other moons. |

NASA SP-533 (Passage to a Ringed World) and you can check part 3 and part 4 of the David Harland and Paolo Ulivi "Robotic Exploration of the Solar System" book series. |

Unfortunately, the reviews of "Passage to a Ringed World" state that it was actually written before Cassini was launched. |

Again, these are books published long before the end of Cassini's mission. Much of the best science had not happened when the books were published. I'm sure a book on Apollo 11, published in June, 1969, would be of some historical value, but it would be somewhat lacking in "the real stuff." |

This one almost delivers, except for the last year of mission:NASA/ESA/ASI Cassini-Huygens: 1997 Onwards (Cassini Orbiter, Huygens Probe and Future Exploration Concepts), Haynes Publishing, 2017 |
