Here's a fascinating interview with Francis French conducted by historian Stephanie Storey, in which Francis talks about his many passions involving spaceflight history, but mostly on working with the late Al Worden on his biography.

Excellent interview. I'm ashamed to say I did not know that Francis is a Brit!

Great and long interview with Francis French. Thanks for posting it, Colin!
Actually, the interview touches many questions. Writing Al Worden's autobiography and how he interacted with him. How he interacted with astronauts. How Al Bean understood his art. What Francis does with food banks in Southern California. Really interesting stuff and you learn about Francis a lot.
Actually, I know Francis for a very long time. While I was writing for the Spaceflight magazine of the British Interplanetary Society, Francis wrote to me. He was, I think, 15 at the time and wrote letters to me with blue ink. So great to see what has become of him and how many great books he wrote in the meantime. Very glad to have read them, they are great reading.
