For UK forum members, BBC Radio 4 are repeating 'Walking On The Moon', their 1-hour archive-based contribution to this summer's 40th anniversary output. The programme is narrated by Buzz Aldrin and I had the great pleasure of being deeply involved in its production. As part of the 'Archive on 4' strand, the programme makes good use of NASA's oral history archives to allow contributions from Armstrong, Collins, Kranz and many othrs as well as Aldrin. It goes out at 20:00 GMT on Sunday, 27 December on BBC Radio 4 and will be available afterwards on the BBC's catch-up services. — David Woods |

Do BBC's catch-up services include making the program available online? |

John, the BBC website operates what it calls "Iplayer" which enables you to watch TV again or listen again to radio shows. Sometimes they make shows available as MP3 downloads but seeing as this is one hour long, my guess is that they won't do it for this one. (There's nothing to stop you recording it though!) |

Iplayer cannot be accessed outside of the UK. |

This is a *radio* programme so any recording made of it will *not* have issues of PAL or NTSC and would be playable worldwide. As said above, the BBC iPlayer system is only available in the UK. I don't know whether this also applies to its 'Listen Again' service on its radio web pages. |

I just listened to the BBC4 Walking on the moon. It was a good show, with participation of Buzz Aldrin, Gene Kranz, Neil and Mike, and many more.I also recorded it. The mp3-file became 43 MB (1 hour programme). Many thanks for this alert! The world is really small nowadays. |
