The Associated Press reports that Charles Simonyi, who recently returned to Earth after a 13-day space odyssey, is planning to write a book about his travel into orbit. Hungarian-born Simonyi, 58, told a news conference in Bucharest that he planned to compile the writings he had done in space and posted on his website into a book."I think there will most definitely be a book," he said, without specifying when it might be published. He said he still needed to review his notes. |

Two times space tourist Charles Simonyi is apparently writing a book. On a question of a space fan whether he ever wrote one, he answered "I am working on it". No details or publisher were indicated yet.Editor's note: Threads merged.

OK - so he is writing a book. Then he undertakes the one or the other new spaceflight. Then he continues writing his book. I like his approach! |

Charles Simonyi is said to be writing a book: His next project will be writing a book about his space trips in 2007 and 2009 with Virginia-based Space Adventures, which cost him a total of $60 million. The idea was inspired in part by all the questions he was asked on a website he set up during his space travels called "Charles in Space.""I love talking about space flight," said Simonyi, who says the privilege of going to space can be measured by the fact that only about 500 people have ever left Earth's atmosphere. "If you've been there, then you kind of have this obligation to tell people about what it's like and share the experience." Editor's note: Threads merged. | |
