I just wanted to say how pleased I am that the Spacecraft Films blog is being regularly updated. It is great to receive these status reports so we can have a better idea when new items will be completed, status on ongoing projects, and status on getting existing sets back in stock.

Keep up the great work, Mark!

We are very lucky to have this production company concentrating on our tiny, niche market. This is not WalMart - these are dedicated space geeks and it shows in their work.

I agree that we are lucky that someone has/is making these sets. I waited 33 years for someone to make this film footage available for the general public to buy at a store or online.

I personally would have never had the time or the computing power to download all of this stuff from the NASA website so these DVDs are very handy to me and I will continue to buy them.

I own a ton of Spacecraft Films products and I regularly break them out to watch. They never disappoint.

Mark is providing us with material that would otherwise never see the light of day - for that I am eternally grateful. The wait is always worth it - always.

Yep, I have been waiting also and didn't place an order so far, but just a reminder that the new Apollo 11 (enhanced EVA) DVD-set does not have all the footage as the original set! We'll have to wait for the new Apollo 11: To The Moon DVD set.

Thank you for all of the support that you've shown on this thread. These past couple of years have been challenging, in that I've been working on some difficult sets and working to get everything back into stock. We have made HUGE strides over the summer, and it wouldn't have been possible without your support.

We have been working on making several long-lead items that were out of stock available again and bringing the shipping of those items up to date. As many of you have responded through this forum inquiring about status, this is an update. If you feel you have an item on this list that remains unresolved, or have anything not covered here that is a problem for you, please email me at info@spacecraftfilms.com and I will check into your order and get it resolved.

  • Apollo 12, Challenger, X-15, Apollo 1: The shipping on these items, which came back into stock over the summer, is current. If you feel you are missing one of these, please let me know and I'll look into it.

  • Project Mercury, Apollo 11, Apollo 14, Apollo 15, which came back into stock recently: We still have several orders in the shipping que for these products. Our timeframe for having these pending sets all shipped is by mid-November.

  • Space Shuttle: STS-1 to STS-41B: We started shipping this set over the summer after we held it for more material. We are working through the ship que fast and expect to have these items completely shipped by the end of November.

  • The STS-51-J to STS-28 set is on track for a November release, as is the upgrade to this set. There are a very small number of pre-orders for this set, so it will proceed quickly.

  • Apollo 11: To the Moon and The Cape are expected to be released in December. I have 3 of 4 discs in for Apollo 11 and 2 of 3 for Cape. I will update status of these on our site and blog as we get close to release. Space Shuttle: First Flights is in final production and I am expecting to release it in first quarter of 2012. I still have a good deal of rendering left to be done in the animation, and I just can't speed that up. It is in the parts where we demonstrate what the proposed shuttles would have looked like before the final configuration was decided.
I've had many inquiries about Skylab and other future sets. I'm not going to make any estimate nor open them up to orders until all of the current pending sets are released.

We are shipping from our offices now, and when we ship you will receive a shipping notification with either tracking information (U.S.) or a customs number (International).

If you have questions or issues in any fashion, please contact me at info@spacecraftfilms.com and I will get back to you and resolve the issue.

There was a question about the restored EVA television. That TV is now available as a standalone 1 DVD (TV only), combined with film and photos on the latest version of Apollo 11: Men on the Moon, and is on the Apollo 11: To The Moon set.

Apparently today is the 10th anniversary of the start up of Spacecraft Films. I wanted to say thanks to Mark Gray and his team for bringing us all the remarkable DVD's (and the Bluray) over these years and wish them all the best for the years to come.

Mark, if you are reading this, I would be interested to hear about the other people in your company. You're the best but I don't think you could do all of this by yourself. Just would be good to know a little about them.

Mark, would like to say thanks for producing these DVDs. Watching the early developing Apollo and the live TV from the moon was amazing. I also have Saturn 1B, Apollo 8, 11 and 15. Brilliant — going to keep collecting these.
