Thanks for the great news, I already thought CG Publishing "forgot" on the rest of the Mercury and Gemini flights......and this is not even announced on their web site yet. |

Apogee/CGP has published some interesting and worthwhile titles over the last couple of years, but it seemed to me they'd kind of gotten off-track.I'm glad to see them getting back to the Mission Reports series...this is important, historic material not widely available before. |

I feel that I must say a word in defense of Apogee Books. They're a one man show, as Robert Godwin works tirelessly as one of the writer's and sole editor to make sure the quality of what goes out the door is consistent with ALL of their products. He also, unlike some other small product makers, makes sure that if he says it is coming out... it is coming out!Sure, there have been some writers that have taken YEARS to finish the texts they had promised, and Apogee had to make allowances but in the end Godwin has always kept his word - and I for one, am looking forward to seeing the rest of Mercury and Gemini mission reports. |

If anyone is wondering why there has been a delay (amazon.com cancelled my order!), a production issue came up with the bonus DVD. Everything to be resolved and DVDs delivered this week I've been told. |

Thanks for this update. And great timing at Amazon - my order has been cancelled last week as well. I suspect the communication between Apogee Books and Amazon was not very good (if any) in this particular case... |

I have been asked by Robert Godwin of Apogee Books to relay this news today: The (Gemini 4) book was shipped and is available as of last Friday. The book was delayed because of a very serious health problem with one of our staff. I have no idea what people are talking about with a problem with our DVD. We had no problems whatsoever with the DVD that I am aware of.There is almost no communication between Amazon and their suppliers. I can categorically state that trying to get anyone on the phone at Amazon is almost impossible. We have been trying for months to get them to take down a pirate ebook of one of our titles with no success. If you want to change the cover of a book or its release date or its price it can be a nightmare. Meanwhile, Gemini 3 is well underway and may be out before the end of the year. We also have two very cool products in production that should be out in the next four months. One is an Apollo thing and one is a "2001: A Space Odyssey" thing. I hope that our collectSPACE followers will understand. |

The message I got from CG Publishing regarding the Gemini 4 book was the following: We're very sorry, but we've had a delay in producing the bonus DVD that comes with the book. They will be delivered at our distributor this week. We apologize for the inconvenience. |

And the Apogee Books website was also not very up to date and helpful saying "Available March 2011" - this information was there even last week. I would appreciate more precise updates - the best weapon to kill the "rumours". But finally the Gemini 4 is out and I look forward to read it. |

The link at the top of this thread leads to an Amazon book listed for $153.29. That can't be right. |
