My predicament: I'm working long term in UAE (Abu Dhabi), and have finished reading all of the space related books I have with me. There are bookshops here, with books in English, but nothing on space/astronauts found yet. I have access to the web and a printer. Can you kind folks recommend anywhere on the internet I can find anything to print out and read? Yes, things are getting that desperate. I have a two hour journey two and from work, and it flies by when I'm reading. |

You can always start with the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal... That makes fascinating reading. |

Just google ".pdf NASA-SP" and you'll find most of NASA's Special Publication books as these have been scanned and put online. Yep, also all six Preliminary Science Reports of the Apollo missions! (SP-214, 235, 272, 289, 315 and 330).

Get the Amazon reading application for your web device and you can download many great books. I know the books cost money, but perhaps this is an alternative. Digital Apollo, How Apollo Flew to The Moon, The Apollo Guidance Computer (textbook), the classic Cox/Murray Apollo and Chariots for Apollo are all excellent and available in Kindle editions. There are many books available on the Space Shuttle and one I really enjoyed on the development of the Soviet Buran Shuttle. Good luck. | |
