New short film to celebrate 50 years since 'Last Man on the Moon' landed

"The Last Man on the Moon" is returning this December for the 50th anniversary of NASA's last lunar landing — with new advice for the next.

The filmmakers behind the 2014 award-winning documentary have announced the upcoming debut of their new short-format edition with a new focus on the Apollo 17 mission, its crew and those who supported humanity's most recent journey to the lunar surface. The film now includes astronaut Gene Cernan's never-before-heard words to the members of the Artemis Generation, the next people to leave their bootprints on the moon.

A little bit more information below from Chris Calle's Facebook post. Am looking forward to hearing more about this product. Another one for our libraries... if it is produced as a DVD.
The team behind the multi-award-winning documentary The Last Man on the Moon are delighted to announce a new edition, focused on Apollo 17, one of NASA’s most remarkable missions. This short film celebrates the 50th anniversary of the mission, its crew and those who supported humanity’s most recent journey to the Lunar surface.

The Last Man on the Moon - APOLLO 17 has extensive new material including commander Gene Cernan’s never-before-heard words to the next US astronauts to leave their footprints on the Moon, which we now know as the Artemis generation. The film honours the past, and looks forward to the future.

We are especially pleased to be working with our friends at Space Center Houston, where the film will be shown as part of their celebrations of Apollo 17 from December onwards.

A Mark Stewart Productions/Haviland Digital movie, The Last Man on the Moon - APOLLO 17 is directed by Mark Craig, produced by Gareth Dodds and Keith Haviland, and executive produced by Mark Stewart.
