Just picked up this 319 page hard cover book ... brilliant and packed with colour illustrations, the overwhelming percentage I've never before seen, it leans heavily toward exploration post Apollo and was published last year.I rarely recommend books but if you see this and you're in any way interestd in the shuttle program, I'm sure you'll be tempted. Got mine for a ridiculous $10 but it has a RRP of around $30. |

From the publisher's web page: quote: How do astronauts prepare themselves for their space flights? What do they do aboard the international space station? How do they cope once they return back to the Earth? This book offers hundreds of beautiful color photos which illustrate present-day journeys into space. You will accompany the space travelers on their trainings; experience the take-off as well as the landing. See how spacewalks are carried out and observe everyday life in zero-gravity.

You perhaps Mr H?It's one brilliant book and for a fraction of the cost, far ahead of most other recent releases on the subject matter. Mike | |
