Foundation Announces Its Newest Project - The Cosmos Review

The Space Frontier Foundation announces a new project, "The Cosmos Review," an online literary magazine dedicated to space poetry. The magazine features classic poems from ancient Greece to contemporary voices of poetry, all related in some way to the cosmos. A children's category will feature poems from tomorrow's leaders, providing classroom project suggestions for teachers to lead poetry and cosmos appreciation.

The space poetry project is headed by prize-winning novelist and poet, Vanna Bonta, who graciously accepted an invitation from the Foundation. Herself a Foundation Advocate, Bonta contributes a lifelong dedication to poetry and passion for the cosmos to creation of the project. Bonta is noted for creating the genre of quantum fiction with her novel, Flight. The Florentine Camerata, a committee founded in the 1500s by a group of humanists, poets and musicians that included Galileo's father, Vincenzio Galilei, awarded Bonta's poetry silver and gold medals. As Editor-in-Chief, Bonta will see to it that all works submitted are worthy of inclusion into such a unique online collection.

The Epsori Space Systems media team will attend the launch in New Mexico on Saturday, April 28th, to record videos of the event and interviews of key participants. All news, photos, and videos will be posted at epsori.com as they become available.

The New York-based Space Frontier Foundation is a space advocacy organization. Its membership of scientists, engineers, media, political professionals, entrepreneurs and citizens are from all backgrounds and nations. Founded in 1988 by a group of space community leaders dedicated to rapidly opening the space frontier to human settlement, the organization has been a leader in developing the private sector of space opportunities, inspiring the previously government-owned bureaucratic program into a dynamic and inclusive frontier open to humanity.

"There are fantastic opportunities awaiting us in the boundless space frontier," said Foundation co-founder and Chairman of the Board, Bob Werb. "Poetry has always been at the forefront of society's vision and inspiration, and the Foundation is proud to announce this new project."

The Cosmos Review website has features such as interactive space and poetry quotes equipped with "send-to-a-friend" and "add the quotes" options to websites or MySpace. An beautiful animated banner and sweeping page transitions complete the state-of-the art we design aesthetics. The magazine's theme parallels engineering and poetry in both visual design and content, a precedent conceptualized by Bonta who writes, "The cosmos is a poem."

Now accepting poetry submissions and editorials about language and poetry, The Cosmos Review hopes next issue's collected works will span all ages and countries across planet Earth. Visit the website to learn more, and to submit your own poem in praise to the cosmos, at thecosmosreview.com. Contest details and multimedia publishing will soon be announced.
