Unlike many experimental aircraft of the 1960's, the LLRV (Lunar Landing Research Vehicle) was never intended to represent an aviational prototype at all. It's only reason for existence was to accommodate and familiarize the Apollo astronauts with the attitudes of a rocket-powered vehicle that flies under distinctive non-aerodynamic regimes, such as those experienced during a lunar orbit and the ensuing touchdown. It is probably the most visionary hardware simulator ever built. Apollo 11 astronaut, Neil Armstrong - first human to step onto the Moon's surface - said the mission would not have been successful without the type of simulation that resulted from the LLRV's. Nowadays, PC-power converts these rather dry historical facts into a comprehensible adventure. Welcome to LunarPilot. - CD-ROM
- Limited edition CD-ROM, including: Original LLRV Flight Manual Reprint (150 pages); LLRV Autograph card hand signed by Jack Kluever (Original LLRV & NASA Test Pilot; US Army, Colonel)

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the info-before I took to the REAL THING- I used Microsoft Flight Sim-T Pactice On-quite handy really-get to fly a plane without leaving my seat-Thanks to the sims- I was able to gain my Pilots Licence
faster.

The commercial pilots I'm friendly with actually despise MS Flight Sim. Just because one is brilliant at racing sim's on the PC/X-Box doesn't necessarilly mean one could win THE INDY 500, same can be said for MS Flight Sim. - Derek P.S.
