Since I buy a lot of space books on Amazon, I receive notifications by the online retailer when new books seem to be space-related.

Hence I received this suggestion: Burn Up Or Splash Down, with a nice illustration of an Apollo-type capsule under parachute.

The subject has nothing to do with space, but reentry as a metaphor illustrates the topic, as seen by its author:

Just like a space shuttle struggles and strains to reenter the earth's atmosphere, so those returning from living overseas can find themselves confused and in a state of panic at coming "home."
Oddly, among the very few books covering this topic (a trauma I went through myself after touring for Cirque du Soleil), there is another one using reentry as a metaphor: Re-Entry: Making the Transition from Missions to Life at Home, with, this time, an Orbiter reentry as the illustration.

Interesting, isn't it?
