Not known for their sensible pricing of autographs, but Fraser's released their view of the "top 100 most sought-after autographs", comparing "their retail price in 1997 to today's (2009) market value."Whilst it would be no surprise to find Armstrong and Gagarin on this list (alongside Dad's Army!), I'm sure most of us would be surprised to see Armstrong valued at £5,500 ($8,500) and Gagarin at £1,600 ($2,600). This just goes to show how self-serving these "surveys" are. I'm sure Fraser's WOULD sell you a Gagarin at $2,600, but the bid/offer spread on this item is about 500%. Nice business if you can get it. |

I've sold several Armstrong WSSs in that range, and have a waiting list for more. Just sold a crew signed photo this morning for over $10K, and could have sold it three times over. Sent the email announcing it late last night. Better than being undervalued, as with Sanders. |

Why would you sell something a 1/3 of what you could have? |

I believe Kim meant he could have sold it to three other buyers ... not 30K |
