I must admit I haven't seen such a copy but it would be easy enough to create by adding Scott and Worden to an Irwin-signed copy. The total value/cost would be in the low $200s. |

My copy is not for sale but they are out there. Two years ago I purchased a signed copy of To Rule the Night for 21$. It was signed and personalized "To Mike. My very best wishes for your life. Jim Irwin". My name is Mike too. This copy did not have a dust jacket so later I purchased a used copy with the jacket and put it on my copy. The book is an ex-library. There must have been a pocket on the inside of the back cover because you can see where it was pulled out with a little loss of paper. There is a sticker/bookplate on the inside of the book's front cover. The bookplate reads "Grand Canyon College, Fleming Library, Phoenix, Arizona. Gift of Rev. Michael Gleason". The book has 3 rubber stamp "withdrawn" stamps on it. One on the bookplate, one on the title page, and one on the edges of the book. When I put a dust jacket on the book I put it in a jacket protector. When I cut the protector I made it long enough to cover up the inside of the front and back covers. That is, the inside edges of the jacket protector extends to the inside of the hinge. That covers the removed pocket and the bookplate. My signed copy of More than an ark on Ararat is personalized to the Lippincott Family. My signed copy of More than Earthlings is personalized to Frank and Ethel. My signed copy of The Moon is not Enough it personalized to Ethel, probably the same Ethel because I purchased these two books from the same dealer. And my signed copy of Destination Moon is personalized to Roger. When I purchased More than Earthlings I found a personalize copy that read "To Michael". It was about 20$ more expensive than the one that was for the Lippincott Family but I decided to save 20$. I don't regret that. Good luck and keep looking. I hope you can find one. Thanks guys,Mike I do have one, uninscribed and signed by the crew which as I was re-arranging my book collection I came across it and got to wondering. After handling Wordens signings for so many years, I didn't recall another one coming through (doesn't mean they didn't just that I couldn't remember) so my interest was piqued. I am a tad confused however, your copy IS signed by the crew? Al |

Boy do I feel silly. I replied to the wrong thread. Posted on the 20th, the same day this thread was started, to Buy Sell and Trade, was a thread wanting a signed copy of To Rule the Night. The poster wanted a personalized To Mike or Michael. When I replied that I had a signed copy I meant that my copy was personalized To Mike. By posting to this thread I may have implied that I had a crew signed copy of To Rule the Night. I don't. My copy is signed and personalized but only signed by Irwin. My mistake and I should have paid closer attention. Mike Myer Humboldt KS |

Hello All (and Al)I recall hearing that Dave Scott did not sign Jim Irwin's book. Can't recall where I heard it - maybe thru NovaSpace when they had Dave Scott sign there a few years back. Could be the reason that not many of them exist. JoKepler |

Thanks! I had never heard that but it may well be true, only that I never heard that. Which means nothing.Offlist I did get a reminder from a gent I helped get Worden in his TRTN book, that had previously been signed by Scott and of course, Irwin so that's two I know of. His and mine. Here is my album with signed books, if you wish to see it, it's the second book listed: http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=6185861&uid=2946120 |
