First one: awful scan. Need to see a better scan.

Second one: I think this one was discussed last week. I believe the consensus is that it is probably authentic.

Hi Helen,

Scott is right, the scan of the book is awful, but from what can be gleaned the
signature is no good (and which probably explains the poor quality scan).

Personally I wouldn't touch the first one (book) with a bargepole.
Likewise the second one: the curves on the N and A look totally overdone. The vertical downward stroke on the A is at an odd angle and the horizontal crossing of the A is too long. Check out other examples in "Relics".

Paul is right. If I had to give only two words of advice about these, they would be "Keep looking".
