I told myself that i would never buy any autographs of ebay but I discovered there are lots that i could never get(meet in person). E.G. pre sts51L missions etc. I found this and discovered even with the postage it is cheaper than if i was to buy it from a dealer. I also have had no sucess with writting letters. I have tried Greg C Johnson. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2102082701
Trouble is, is it authentic. I would love to know because it looks like a good deal. What i mean by authentic is, is it an autopen or a real signiture. I would apprecaite any help i could get

It says "preprint" in the auction listing. This seller scans authentic autographed pictures, and then prints them out with a laser printer.

My read on this one is that it is a copy of an autographed photo. A number of groups have been developing this trend of late and I must confess that I do not understand it, particularly when they are looking for $20, $30 or more for the copy. So no, it does not appear to be real.

Bottom line: the picture you are buying is not signed by the astronaut.

How bizarre.... a preprint of an auto/insc photo. This doesn't make much sense to me.

I have seen several authentic Anthony England autographs on eBay...just keep an eye out and you will eventually see one. You shouldn't have to pay more that $10 for one. Just make sure you read ALL the info you can on each autograph before you bid.

EBay is a good source for hard to get signatures, but you have to use caution. There are some eBay sellers that will "play with words" in their description.

Good luck!
