I told myself that i would never buy any autographs of ebay but I discovered there are lots that i could never get(meet in person). E.G. pre sts51L missions etc. I found this and discovered even with the postage it is cheaper than if i was to buy it from a dealer. I also have had no sucess with writting letters. I have tried Greg C Johnson. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2102082701 Trouble is, is it authentic. I would love to know because it looks like a good deal. What i mean by authentic is, is it an autopen or a real signiture. I would apprecaite any help i could get |

It says "preprint" in the auction listing. This seller scans authentic autographed pictures, and then prints them out with a laser printer. Liz |

My read on this one is that it is a copy of an autographed photo. A number of groups have been developing this trend of late and I must confess that I do not understand it, particularly when they are looking for $20, $30 or more for the copy. So no, it does not appear to be real. |

Bottom line: the picture you are buying is not signed by the astronaut. |

How bizarre.... a preprint of an auto/insc photo. This doesn't make much sense to me. I have seen several authentic Anthony England autographs on eBay...just keep an eye out and you will eventually see one. You shouldn't have to pay more that $10 for one. Just make sure you read ALL the info you can on each autograph before you bid. EBay is a good source for hard to get signatures, but you have to use caution. There are some eBay sellers that will "play with words" in their description. Good luck! Best Regards, Bill uzzi69 |
