To the participants of the Armstrong Forgeries thread,To this group I must apologize. My comments crossed concerning Mr. Montague were over the line. I am sorry for those comments, they were made in the heat of the moment at someone with whom I have had past dealings of other egroups. He is new to Collectspace's forum. I didn't appreciate his remarks concerning me. I have yet to read the rest of thread, When do I will accept any comments made after my post with the understanding that I was wrong. Maybe someday, Mr. Mint and I can meet personally and iron out our differences. So this won't happen again. I was only seeking to maintain a degree of fairness to the piling on that occurred during the Armstrong Forgeries thread. I felt it had gotten out of hand, but unfortunately I got out of hand. So again I apologize to those posters. Anyone who wants to discuss this with me can contact me off line at mcglynn@aol.com. Sincerely, Lawrence McGlynn

I, too, would like to offer an apology to the group. My post was probably the infamous "straw that broke the camel's back" and resulted in the closing of the thread. Robert is right in saying that personal attacks should not be part of this group. I felt the first salvo had been fired and I returned fire without thinking first. My apologies.Mike |

Yup, that would be me, although now I'm kind of stuck on the shore duty side. Someone has to fix things up when they go all to hell on a job. The boss has given me the option of going to sea or not because we have a kid due in January. Looking like he's coming early so when he does, I can get back on the job. Working on the bottom! That's where I belong! No jokes about that you guys<G>Mike |

Am I to assume this apology extends to me and Mr Ford for you betraying in this forum our confidences to you about private and personal transactions?

Joe,Yes it does. I do apologize to you and Leon for the comments made during this thread. But, I urge you not to make incorrect sweeping generalizations about someone's livelyhood. I am not perfect either, so I will leave it at that. Lawrence McGlynn |
