Some might ask: why not an Apollo 11 launch picture of the week on July 16? I usually try to avoid these obvious anniversary pictures, because everybody and his brother is posting Apollo 11 pictures on Facebook this week. |

This photo is timely, too. This week, ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev will conduct the first international Orlan spacewalk in 13 years. |

I am thinking that Samantha Cristoforetti will be only the second non-Russian woman to perform an EVA in the Russian Orlan spacesuit. I know Peggy Whitson was the first. Am I correct? |
