Half a century ago, with about three weeks to go before the launch of Apollo 11, astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin practiced donning their Portable Life Support System for the last time. The crude mockup of the LM ascent engine cover visible behind Aldrin was used to support the PLSS during the procedure.

Thanks for sharing yet another great photo. It is nice to know that even with all the sophisticated training aids and simulators, NASA made do with wooden boxes and a drum.
