I'm interested to learn who was present at the launch-day breakfasts for all U.S. flights, particularly Mercury through Apollo. Is anyone aware of whether the lists were kept? |

Dave, I think you want to know who breakfasted with the flight crew, otherwise you're going to get geeks like me posting their launch day breakfasts at KSC's Meet an Astrounaut program - like me before STS-120. |

Glad you're interested in the US flights. The early Russian cosmonauts had a 2 pint enema before their missions. |

For the very early flights, you could look through the PAO (Public Affairs Office) transcript of each flight. I believe most of them are available on-line.During the countdown, the Public Affairs Officer provided a narrative of how the count was progressing and would usually discuss the pre-flight breakfast, the menu, and the attendees because little else was happening at that point in the count. Usually the back-up crew did not attend the breakfasts during Gemini counts because they were busy in the White Room at Pad 19. |

I cannot help with other launches, but for Gemini 5 the meal was attended by the crew (obviously), Drs Minners and Tubbs, and Schirra, Stafford and Slayton.Breakfast consisted of orange juice, fillet mignon steak, scrambled eggs, toast, grape jelly (jam) and coffee.
