I've noticed Buzz Aldrin wears some wiggy ties. If he wrapped a couple of those around his head he'd look like a Swami. Are any other astronauts known for being less than fashion-forward? Someone said Walt Cunningham wore (egad!) leisure suits. |

Hey, Walt has some shirts that might remind some people of a liesure suit, but they are just nice comfortable shirts. Walt is a classy guy who gives a lot of his time to space enthusiasts. As far as the ties that Buzz wears, if you had walked on the moon you could wear whatever you like too. But he did (walk on the moon) and you didn't. He can wear whatever he wants. |

I never said his ties aren't snazzy, I said they were swami-esque with all the stars and planets.Classiness as a person is no proof from having a bit too much snazz when it comes to an individual's vines, and vice-versa. |

This and another picture I have were taken in response to a gag photo sent to Al and Gus in 1961 by Bing Crosby and Bob Hope. The two comedians were dressed in spacesuit attire, and wrote on the photo "We're ready; are you ready?" The two astros dressed up in vaudeville gear and sent a photo back to Bing and Bob. Unfortunately I do not know what they wrote in response. |
