I happened to hear about the March 10-12 Sci-fi show in Pasadena just a few days ago. Wally and Allen will be there.... BUT... You can only buy 1 signature ticket and you can't bring your own items to have signed. Not willing to make the 1 hour flight that will cost $250 for 1 signature. Anyone else disappointed?

I don't think your information is correct. I've been to a lot of Creation shows and the only time they limit you to 1 autograph is for the big stars like Shatner and Nimoy. They have never said you can't have your own item signed. Looking at the Creation website this is what it would cost someone to go if they only wanted to get Wally Schirra and Alan Bean.General Admission single day ticket for Sunday (the only day Wally and Alan will be there) $25.00 Lunch with the Astronauts (limited tickets: buy early) $89.00 Autograph tickets: Wally Schirra $70.00 each Alan Bean $70.00 each This will probably be a row by row organized signing. Because you would only have a general admission ticket you would be the last to go. Reserve seating goes first. Photos with the Astronauts: 8x10 photo done by Creation Wally Schirra $60.00 Alan Bean $60.00 Creation shows have always been expensive to attend. But if you are willing to pay their prices you can get pretty much what ever you want. Here is the convention page address. http://www.creationent.com/cal/stgs.htm |

I'm just going by what the PR person told me on the phone. I'm not willing to spend a round trip ticket to try to prove her wrong. But thanks for your information. |

Granted, it's been a while since I've gone to a Creation show - don't remember when's the last time they were in Valley Forge, Pa., but FWIW, I used to do fan security and remember the mantra we used to tell people still to this day: "One autograph per person, no personalizations, no flash photography...." That was to keep the line moving. If you wanted more than one autograph, you either bought another membership (ticket) or requeued at the end of the line.

Hart, I said they are not going to limit you to one autograph because they are selling autograph tickets at $70.00 each for Wally and Alan. You can buy as many tickets as you need to get all your items signed. They have done this at almost every Creation show I have attended. The only time they didn't was for people like William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. You had to purchase a gold seating ticket at about $250.00 a seat to get their autograph and you could only get one item signed. They didn't have additional autograph tickets for sale. People that attend the show next week who have the gold seating tickets will probably get one autograph each from most of the guests as part of their ticket price. But if you buy a general admission ticket there are no autographs included with your ticket so you have to purchase autograph tickets. I just wanted to clarify that.Mark [This message has been edited by MarkRP (edited March 08, 2006).] |
