Buzz came to Peoria Arizona to sign his new book 'Reaching for the Moon'. The Lines, as usual, were very very long, but I already had a guaranteed ticket for his signature. I waited only 20 minutes! He saw my apollo 11 T-shirt, smiled at me and said 'THAT IS A NICE T-SHIRT!', to which I replied 'Thank you, Dr. Aldrin'. I met another CS member and he took my picture shaking hands with Buzz. He was extremely polite and friendly. It was another GREAT moment in meeting a super space hero Just for the record, on the day of the signing, i forgot where i'd put my digital camera, the freeways i usually take were closed for repairs, AND there was a train crash on the way to the challenger center where the signing was taking place. DID I GIVE UP? NO WAY !!! I found ways to get around ALL of the obstacles and made it on time |
