That's three auctions in July: Bonhams, Sotheby's and this one. And four if you count the current RR Auction sale that ends on July 14 that has 83 space items.

Would be better if the auctions were scheduled with at least a month between them.

This July with the ASM auction marks the 50th anniversary of the fourth Apollo lunar landing mission, Apollo 15. Included is a nice Irwin signed-inscribed splashdown-recovery glossy along with a few other signed pieces and photo selections.

The Irwin signed glossy was a stand out piece for me on first viewing. As usual it's a stellar auction, if you've got deep enough pockets!

Great auction Chuck!

A real good news/bad news for me. Good news: a lot of the items in my collection went up in value, but I got outbid on new items last night. I guess the hedge funds doing these "collectible" funds are now into space collecting for some portion of funds. Some of the prices I just did not expect.

But great news for the museum and fundraising!

I cannot believe that the two Apollo 11 Beta cloth patches in packets sold for $850 when these are still available on eBay for $25 each.

Congrats! Either irrational bidders or generous donors.

Let's go with generous donors for a good cause! Great auction with lots of interest and activity. A big thanks to Chuck and the ASM auction-working staff.

All times are CT (US)
