To check out some of the lots that will be in the auction, please visit lunarlegacies.com - there are presently about 300 items listed there. To register for the auction and pre-bid, simply go to my website at lunarlegacies.com and there you will find a Proxibid registration link near the top of every page that will take you directly to the registration page at proxibid.com. A few lots and lot descriptions still need to be uploaded, but those should be completed by Wednesday this week. If you have registered for my auction in the past at Proxibid, you still must register again for this auction. Please read the Terms and Conditions link for full auction information and requirements located at the right sidebar at any Lunar Legacies page. I will begin accepting mail bids at this time as well. If you wish to save the 5% Proxibid internet bidding fee, please feel free to email me your starting and high bids for any items you wish, and we will bid for you when the auction commences. Additionally, if you would like to set up on a phone calling list, please let me know about that via email, and we will get you set up. Send all emails to me at lunarlegacies@gmail.com. Thanks very much again for making these auctions a success and we look forward to seeing you there. |

Here are a few of the lots that impressed me: - Lot 178, the Lunar Module Docking Model From CSM Simulator. This little LM model was the one in the simulator used by the Apollo 9, Apollo 11, and Apollo 13 crews. Knowing that McDivitt, Collins, and Mattingly/Swigert stared so intently at this item as they trained for their roles in such historic missions... yowza.
- Lot 300, the Apollo 13 Final Flight Plan. Interesting in that so much had to be drastically altered.
- Lot 403, the Skylab I Launch Pad Wind Direction Device. This metal rod with some sort of plastic at the end was at the very top of the launch tower, and thus was melted/charred by the flames. Knowing that this was the LAST thing touched by the launch of the LAST Saturn V... double yowza. (Actually, I'm already bidding on this one, so I would appreciate it if YOU remain completely unimpressed by it.)

Some of you had trouble getting into my last live auctions in July and November, and I urge you to call Customer Support at Proxibid at 877-505-7770 for assistance well before the auction. The trouble lies in getting past your Internet Explorer firewall. On rare occasions, you may even have to disable it temporarily for the auction. To view the lots and register to bid, please follow the link, provided below, to Proxibid.com. At Proxibid, you can pre-bid in addition to following the auction and bidding live on Saturday. If you would rather email in your bids, to save the 5% internet fee, please do so by Friday night March 5th at lunarlegacies@gmail.com, and please make sure you receive a direct email confirmation of receipt by us. During the auction, we will bid for the mail-in bids and attempt to get the item at the lowest price possible for you. Please also take time to read the Terms and Conditions provided at the Lunar Legacies website (lunarlegacies.com). Lots of good things in the auction and I hope to see everyone there. Thanks for reading. |

A blow out for me. I switched to a Mac this year and now cannot bid live. I have the correct version of all the software and OS, but ProxiBid keeps incorrectly claiming my Java is outdated. It isn't. There's no access to live help that I can find, and as far as the Mac goes all their help links are either dead (like the one to the Java Update for Mac on the Apple website!) or inappropriate (why send someone to Open Office to update their Java?). Clearly no-one at ProxiBid attempted to check functionality or help links for the Mac. Too bad, I would have loved to bid on some of these lots. Donnis has put together a great auction. |

I'm on a Mac and was able to log-in successfully. I also got the warning about Java but on that same screen as the links you mention is another log-in form and once submitting my username and password for a second time, the app downloaded, installed and ran. |

I was running from a new iMac and was initially stumped by the Java error, until I noticed that it was just asking me to reenter my login and password. What was confusing was that there were two error messages on the page, one for Java and one asking to reenter the password. Entered my password a second time, and it ran smoothly, no problems at all.Steve Smith - I had the pleasure of visiting with Donnis and Jan last month and I got to see the LM docking model up close and personal. I wish I could have afforded it! |

Great auction, but unfortunately the two items I was after went above my maximums. As 'Dirty Harry' said: "A man's got to know his limitations!" |

Another fine auction. I'm a Mac user too with no problems at all. Picked up the item I wanted (don't tell my wife). Glad that the LL team tried to move things along faster than last time. Still, I wish they would consider putting the $25 items on eBay instead... |

Agreed, another fine auction. Got my prelim invoice this morning - lightning speed. And had no problems monitoring, bidding, and winning on lots. Moved along nicely I thought. And agree with David -- some of the minor lots could go to direct sell from the LL site or via ebay. Still, a fun auction. Great training material, as usual. |

An excellent experience as we've come to expect from Donnis and Jan.I found the Proxibid website pretty clunky pre-auction, but during the auction their software was excellent. No "confusion" over cut-offs or late bids... how refreshing! |

I don't mind the lower priced items... the auction moved along well, and there is something affordable for folks of all levels of budget to spend on this hobby. All in all an excellent auction and I look forward to the next one. |

Had problems with Proxibid to begin with, but these disappeared when I switched to using Firefox. However, it did mean that I missed the first 30 minutes or so of the auction. In the end I wasn't able to get the 2 items I was hoping to get as I was outbid, but I did manage to get 3 items which I decided to bid on the spur of the moment. So all in all it was a successful auction for me. Well done Donnis! It was fun to participate. |

This auction was a ton of fun to watch and bid on. I picked up a few very nice items. I was also suprised to see a few items be passed over and would love to possibly get the chance to buy them on the Lunar Legacies' website. |

I received my lots today. I paid by CC and allowed Donnis to use my FedEx number. He packed them and shipped them really fast. Lunar Legacies did a great job and I have to eat my words from a time ago. I guess we could use another space auction. ------------------ Larry McGlynn A Tribute to Apollo www.apollotribute.blogspot.com |

My items are on the way. I can't believe how fast all of those lots are being sent out. Can't wait for the next auction which I believe Don indicated may be in late June. |

Glad to see that some folks with Macs got in. It does seem like there were many issue that could have been avoided if tested. Login issues aside (yes, I did try to enter my info twice - no joy! and I tried it in both Safari and Firefox) the truly annoying thing is that the 'Help' links were either dead or inappropriate, a sure sign they were not tested. Hopefully they can get both issues fixed for next time!In the meantime at least I won one of my pre-bids. Got the Invoice yesterday and will send off the payment today. All issues aside, it was a great catalog and sounds like a fun auction too! PS: kicking myself for not thinking to fire up Parallels and try to get in as a 'PC' - Dohh! |

Just wanted to add to the accolades that have already been mentioned about the latest Lunar Legacies auction. I had no problems following the auction on my PC and thought that it went very smoothly. I also received the items that I won yesterday packed, as always, extremely well. Thanks again Donnis and Jan! |
