"Saturday Night Live" star Pete Davidson is joining Jeff Bezos on a Blue Origin spaceflight, sources tell Page Six.
"Pete is excited," a Davidson source told Page Six. "They haven't signed a contract yet, but it looks like it's going to happen. The details are being finalized.

"He got on really well with Jeff when they met."

It's not yet known when Davidson would go into space, but it will likely be later this year, the source said.

Just curious, did SNL’s Pete Davidson pay for his ticket or was it a freebie offered by the company?

Per Blue Origin, Davidson is flying as the company's guest.

Just looking at the CV's I'm guessing three of the six are non-paying.

A nice one for Pete, and a smart PR move on the part of the company to get hipsters interested in spaceflight.

According to Blue Origin, other than Davidson, the other crew members are all paying passengers. The company did not disclose how much each person is paying.

Gary Lai, New Shepard Chief Architect, will fly on NS-20, filling the seat originally held for Pete Davidson.

The crew capsule reached an apogee of 347,629 ft AGL / 351,276 ft MSL (106 km AGL / 107 km MSL).

The booster reached an apogee of 347,285 ft AGL / 350,932 ft MSL (106 km AGL / 107 km MSL).

What do AGL and MSL refer to?

Above Ground Level (AGL) is the distance that the spacecraft is above the ground. Mean Sea Level (MSL) is the distance the spacecraft is above sea level.
