Hi Folks, yet another question about obscure things...Fill in the blank: Abe Silverstein came to NASA and ran the Office of Space Flight ________? Bonus Points: At the same time as Abe's Office, what other offices were created? Thanks much, Jay Gallentine |

I'm going to assume you're asking because you've seen rererence to both names. It seems NASA isn't that much more helpful. If you check their online HQ org charts: http://history.nasa.gov/orgcharts/orgcharts.html You see that the name went back and forth. Annoying, but not unheard of, at least for the on-paper organizational names. Those org charts also give you an idea of the other offices created at the same level as Silverstein's circa 1958. Sorry for lack of a definitive answer, but I hope this helps somewhat. Cheers, Kevin |
