Just saw the launch of Atlas 5 with Astra 1 KR satellite on ILS web-site.
Sure had a strange looking configuration with only 1 SRB.

Beautiful photo's but puzzled by the use of the single solid/asymetric thrust..the RD-180's must be gimbaled pretty heavily to compensate....

Here is a movie of the Astra 1KR television satellite being placed in its assigned orbital slot. This is the satellite that was launched aboard the single sided Atlas 5 in this thread. The 8meg movie was taken by our customer using a C14 and a SBIG ST-8 CCD camera. http://www.jatobservatory.org/images/Astra_2006-06-22_1KR-Arrival.wmv
