I was attending a classical open air concert given by The British Philharmonic Orchestra at Trentham GArdens on Sunday night. The evening sky was amix of clouds followed by long spells of clear sky. Luckily - at around 945pm - there in the clear sky was the unmistakable moving bright 'star' the International Space Station. It was clearly visible almost from horizon to horizon and was moving gracefully through the night sky. This was one of the best viewings - certainly in longevity - of the ISS I have had since it was launched.

What it even more remarkable is that I was sitting just a few hundred yards from where I collected the Millennium Space Rock from the famous Charles Darwin (theory of evolution fame) geological site at Butterton geological dyke.

The Millennium Space Rock flew aboard the ISS predecessor MIR Space Station between 1998-1999 before being exhibited at several UK museums and including spending several months over of the millenium change at the Visitor Center,NASA Kennedy Space Center,Florida.
