With Sergej Krikalev at the remote controls aboard the space station, the new Progress supply ship docked with the International Space Station on June 19, 2005 at 00.42 GMT. The manual docking was needed because of a problem with an russian ground station , so russian flight controllers could not send the commands for the originally planned automatic docking sequence. Krikalev used the TORU system for remote docking operations. An overview about the I.S.S mission 18P you can find here : http://www.ag-99.de/spacenet/mission/18p.html ------------------ michael may www.ag-99.de/spacenet/main/main.html | |
