Some questions:

The US Space Suit Assembly consists of 2 major parts, Upper + Lower torso ...
Does anybody know:
1. Can the arms be removed ?
2. What the approx dry weight of the EMU ?

The Russian Orlan space suit is a large box with door at the rear ...
1. Any ideas of the approx dry weight ?

The approx. weight is 300 pounds, varies per mission, and the pieces are glove section, elbow, upper torso, lower torso, and lower leg.

AWST carried a good piece a couple weeks back after they interviewed Chiao - who has worn both.

Very interesting comments from him.

Its AWST April 11th issue.
