Just another reason to admire the fortitude of all those involved! IMO.

Very interesting! As someone whom is heading down for the autograph show and launch as well as the Thursday tour of the facilities, I have special concerns. After seeing this post I went to the article and then split screened my desktop with NASA.gov that is rerunning Thursday's flight readiness press conference. There's a few age-related issues.

The question is , why was no recertification done in 1998? I have admired and defended NASA since i was a kid, but some times i am incredulous at the management attitudes to flight safety. Two shuttles and 14crew were lost due to management. This just seems to me like, fool me three times call me bloody reckless!
