Happy Saint Patrick’s day to all.

I would be interested in hearing about the history of Saint Patrick’s day being celebrated in space

One little known fact is that out of the 31 manned missions in the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo flights (including ASTP and Skylab), only one was aloft on St. Patrick's Day — Gemini 8. And that was only for a few short hours prior to splashdown.
